How to Remove Iron Scorch Marks From Fabric
- 1). In a bowl, large cup or spray bottle mix ½ of a cup of hydrogen peroxide with ½ of a cup of water. Hydrogen peroxide is available at pharmacies and grocery stores.
- 2). Dip the scorched part of the fabric into the hydrogen peroxide mixture or put the mixture in a spray bottle and spray the scorch mark until thoroughly soaked.
- 3). Allow the solution to sit on the fabric for about 15 to 20 minutes. Wash as usual.
- 4). Another remedy is, cut a white onion in half and scrub the scorch mark with the fleshy part of the onion. Be sure to thoroughly saturate the scorch mark with the juice from the onion. Let the half of the onion with the fleshy side down remain on the scorch mark area for 3 to 4 hours. Remove the onion half and launder as usual.
