The Hannah Montana Craze

103 19
You may have heard about the Hannah Montana Disney law suits that led to the cancellation of the most popular Disney show in 2007.
Firstly, I'm sure you have heard of Hannah Montana.
If you haven't then I suggest you pick up the nearest newspaper or magazine and there is a high chance that she will be mentioned, either under this name or Miley Cyrus, which is her real name.
Hannah Montana is simply the name she used in her latest concert and it's her alter ego.
In the Disney TV Series with the same name, Miley Cyrus is herself during the day, while at night she lives the life of a rockstar! This lawsuit has caused a large stir as Buddy Sheffield, a comedian and comedy scripts writer is accusing Disney of stealing his script idea, and he never got a compensation of any sort.
This script goes back as early as 2001 when he submitted it to the Disney jury and he claims he hasn't heard back since.
The plot in the story written by Buddy Sheffield is similar to the one in Disney's Hannah Montana, the only noticeable difference being the names.
Buddy named his TV Series "Rock and Roland".
This is the second lawsuit Disney was involved in, related to its popular TV series, Hannah Montana.
A more recent one, which might have affected you as well was the lawsuit against Miley World, a direct affiliation of Disney who got sued for not being able to buy the Best Of Both Worlds concert tickets even though they pay a membership fee of $30 a year, just to get these privileges.
In conclusion, the number of tickets available and released for sale were vastly smaller than the actual number of people wanting to buy them.
A large majority of these were parents, eager to take their children to see their music idol.
The result was large disappointment from fans who had to be pleased with seeing the concert in 3D at the cinema.
