Details on the Washington D.C. 2014 Sales Tax Holiday
Lawmakers repealed the sales tax holiday so a 2015 Washington, D.C., sales tax holiday is not scheduled. D.C. used to offer two sales tax holidays for clothing, shoes and accessories.

Clothing Exempt from Washington, DC, Sales Tax
Clothing $100 and under is not taxable during the sales tax holiday, including:- Belts
- Blouses
- Coats
- Dresses
- Hats
- Jackets
- Pants
- Shirts
- Undergarments
Footwear Exempt from Washington, DC, Sales Tax
All shoes with a price of $100 or less are exempt except for roller blades, roller skates, skis and swim fins.Accessories Exempt from Sales Tax
