Hyderabad is the common capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and is the fourth most populous city in India. It was built by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah in 1591, but was later captured and ruled by the Mughals who named their dynasty as Nizams of Hyderabad. Hyderabad was the famous diamond and pearl trading centre and till date it is referred as the City of Pearls. Later on, it came under the British rule and became a princely state. It is located on hilly terrain and surrounded by artificial lakes, most notable being the Hussain Sagar Lake.
