Inn at Montchanin Village

• The Inn at Montchanin Village, located on the outskirts of Wilmington, is only 10 miles from Hockessin. Located in a restored 19th-century hamlet, the inn was originally part of the Winterthur Estate. The village and inn were named for Alexandrine de Montchanin, the grandmother of the Dupont Gunpowder Company founder. Today, Montchanin consists of 11 restored buildings that were originally built between 1799 and 1910. In addition to historical charm, the inn features several restored houses with updated modern bathrooms, private rooms and landscaped courtyards.
