My visit in Cagliari was a kind of a discovery of paradise. I found there the most important things for me: the sun, the sea (warm water!), panoramic views and exotic plants in blossom all around me.. it was like a dream moved to reality. For European people it is probably the closest island which reminds us of paradise. I believe that this charming place could enchant everyone. Another Italian island is Sicilly. We could compare Sardinia with Sicilly, but in my honest opinion, Sardinia is better. It is very special, calm and healthy place. I don't know why, people living in Cagliari, people that I met there, were happy and peaceful.They didn't have to harry, they were pleasant and nice.

The city of Cagliari is situated on a hill - that's why there are a lot of panoramic viewpoints. In Cagliari Old Town we can feel something of thousands of years of history. Many civilizations have left their mark all over the city. There is a marvellous view over the old town called „Castello". In Cagliari there is also a beautiful beach, the Poetto beach - you can get there by a regular city bus. Sea port of Cagliari is one of the largest in the Mediterranean. The harbour part of the city is called "Marina" district and is known for its cozy cafés and restaurants. The Marina quarter sprang up towards the sea, close the Castello area. It was originally meant to be a fishing village.

Cagliari is the capital of the island of Sardinia. Sardinia is very attractive for tourists. Besides its crystal sea water and beautiful Mediterranean beaches, Cagliari offers pure nature, consisting of blue lagoons, wild exotic birds and wildlife reserves.
