I know what you're thinking.
Why a self-assessment? That's stupid.
Well, it's not stupid if you are in the market for an actual online job.
If you are serious about obtaining and being successful about being employed via the internet, then do the self-assessment.
People that are thinking they want to get an online job and make some fast, easy money are not going to make it; period.
Plan for the long haul, and you will more likely land that great online job.
The questions you should be asking yourself include; what is it you want to do?...
And do not answer that question with "make money".
You need to figure out what you want to do; day in and day out.
What are you good at? What skills do you possess? Are you good at customer service? Fast at typing? Great at researching or maybe writing? You have a degree? In what? Another good question to ask is how many hours are you willing to dedicate to the job? Many actual online jobs are part time but many require serious dedication mainly in the form of a full 40 hour work week.
Some even more.
The answers might be troubling at first but be honest.
Write down the thing you find most important about internet employment.
Then you can be better prepared for the job search.
Another reason this self-assessment is important is because there are literally hundreds of different types of jobs out there.
If you have to invest your time and effort to get an actual online job, it might as well be one that you will be successful at and enjoy.
You'll never work another day in your life if you find something you love to do.
Once you write down the questions and the honest answers, you can now begin your search to find that perfect online job.
It may take a little while to be fluid with how the internet or even specific sites work.
You will be overwhelmed at times, which will make you want to quit.
Be advised that this is the normal process people go through while learning something new.
You are not special in this regard.
Everyone has troubles with parts of the internet.
Please be persistent and you will find that as you look back, little bits of everything you do become second nature.
That's you learning.
That's a good thing.
