Its a wee bit like the old story The tortoise and The hare.
'Boy' sperm start of well and zip into the lead only to die off quickly allowing for the slower steady girls to pass and reach the goal.
So, get them lads as close to the goal as possible by choosing deeply penetrating positions when you are trying to conceive a boy.
A good tried and tested one is the rather unpleasantly named 'doggy style', where the male enters the female, who is on hands and knees, from behind.
It is also important to consider what foods you eat when attempting to choose the gender of your baby.
It is believed that to improve the chance of conceiving a boy you should avoid dairy products and shellfish.
Potassium, vitamin C and D are key so lots of bananas should be on the menu, although not too many because they make you sleepy and by all accounts making love at night will improve the chance of you conceiving a boy.
It stands to reason that the higher your lovers' sperm count, the more little 'boy' sperm there will be in his goolies ready to make their epic little journey.
So, although this may be quite difficult it may be a good idea to avoid having sex for a week, allowing the sperm count to rise and with it the chance of your success.

Make sure your man wears loose fitting briefs and boxer- no sexy tight jeans either at the time that you are trying to conceive.
