Your Own Home Business - You Really Can Do It

103 24
There are as many home business ideas as there are thinking brains in the world.
And the great thing is that the Internet makes it possible for every one of them to get in on the act.
It seems only yesterday that putting together a little extra income with the easily operated Microsoft Windows system in 1996 was just a simple matter of buying a computer and copying ideas from the real world that were already successful.
I recall my first dollars ever made on the Internet were from going to the free newspapers on line and swiping their entire Boats for Sale file.
Then taking the phone numbers from each ad and going to Reverse Lookup and getting the names and address of those trying to sell their boats.
After that, it was a simple matter of setting up a website "Boaters n Buyers" and sending a short letter to the sellers offering long term advertising.
Plus the all important "last but not least" cashing their checks.
Everything was so new and it seemed like the average person had no idea of what the Internet was about.
They only knew that various newscasts and newspaper kept saying that the Internet was the coming big thing.
So, any offer to put someone or some business on the Internet was met with the greatest of gusto.
Today, as I long ago predicted, the majority of money on the Internet is generated by powerful known name Companies that can afford to spend millions on advertising.
Because of this you would think that there is no more room for the "little guy" to get a foothold.
Wrong! Not only have these giant corporations provided a whole new income producing world of affiliate marketing, but they have managed to miss the number one reason why folks go on the Internet to begin with.
Personal interests, personal control and the all important "Personal Touch".
Corporations have chosen to do the same thing on the Internet as they do in all of their media advertising on television, radio, newspapers and magazines.
Push the sale.
Either by cheaper pricing or by aloft attitudes of , "I'm better than they are".
And then they go out of their way to force all of the products they have right in front of your eyes at the same time, making it almost impossible to choose any kind of individual selection or purchasing decision.
But the very worse thing for them (and best thing for the "little guy") is they build mechanical sites that load slowly and continually make you go from one page to another.
Which uses up precious time that the average web surfer is extremely reluctant to give up.
In the very beginning, the Internet was known as the INFORMATION HI-WAY.
And today, it still is.
Folks get flyer's and catalogs everyday in the mail and newspapers.
They don't go on the net to see the same thing.
They go there to find information about what they want or need.
And they much prefer that the information be on a personal level where they can relate to the person that wrote the information.
So, obviously that brings us everyday folks into the picture.
Not as competition to the big boys but as a true fulfillment of what people actually turn on their computers for.
Personalized information.
You simply write about what you know in a way that folks can honestly relate to.
Then offer them a solution or product that will compliment what you have wrote about.
It is not a matter of having a fantastic website.
Fact is you really don't need a website at all.
A quality auto-responder like aweber.
com or your written article submissions to upscale spots like EzineArticles.
com will get you just as much attention as a website can.
Even a free blog site will do the trick.
The really important thing is that you are able to be a lot more informal and personal with your readers while building trust and loyalty at the same time.
Which almost always converts to sales of whatever product or service you are offering.
Simply put, you would be operating a profitable work at home business that produces added income with almost no costs involved.
In the present state of our world economy I believe setting up a secondary online income is one of the smartest moves anyone of any age can easily afford to do.
You have the entire population of the world to cater to.
Which means most any authoritative information you can provide will undoubtedly be of interest to somebody.
Put on your thinking cap and go to it.
Just sit down and start writing ...
you can be assured your brain will fill in the gaps.
Here's to your new business success.
