How to Rewire a 1996 Dodge Truck With Infinity Speakers
- 1). Remove a single Phillips screw from the upper front edge of the interior door panel, using a Phillips screwdriver. Remove two more screws from the armrest cup.
- 2). Pry up on the back edge of the power switches control panel with a panel tool and lift it out of the door panel. Unplug the connectors on the back.
- 3). Pry around the edges of the door panel with a panel tool to release the clips holding the door panel in place. Lift the door panel off of the door when these are loose.
- 4). Remove four Phillips screws from the speaker's edge and pull the speaker out. Unplug the connector on the back of the speaker.
- 5). Plug the connector into the Infinity speaker and test the speaker's operation. Place the speaker in the opening and screw it in place with the Phillips screws. Reassemble the door panel and repeat for the other door's speaker.
- 1). Remove a single Phillips screw from the rear of the door's scuff plate.
- 2). Pry out two round clips from the bottom center of the rear-side trim panel. Pull the lower portion of the panel outwards to access the speaker.
- 3). Remove four Phillips screws from the speaker's edge and pull the speaker out. Unplug the connector on the back of the speaker.
- 4). Plug the connector into the Infinity speaker and test the speaker's operation. Place the speaker in the opening and screw it in place with the Phillips screws. Reassemble the panel and repeat for the other side's speaker.
