The great thing about this license is that if you are collector of antique firearms, you can purchase directly from importers without going through a gun dealer or gun shop.
The firearms can be shipped directly to your door.
There are some records that you have to keep when you use this license, but nothing like being a firearms dealer.
The thing to remember is that curio & relics license was created for the collector not a gun dealer.
The disclaimer that is written on the license is that this license does not authorize the holder to engage in the business of dealing in any firearms.

The paper work required to obtain your curio & relics license is simple but needs to be filled out correctly.
There are a total of two forms to fill out, one of the forms must be filled out in duplicate.
The first form you will fill out looks like the 4473 you fill out at the gun shop when you purchase a firearm.
The only additional information that they ask for on the form is the name and address of the chief law enforcement officer in your area.
This can be the chief of police or the sheriff, all be pends on where you live.
The second form called a certificate of compliance, this is a short form just to make sure you are a legal resident of the United States.
