- 1). Turn the ignition key one click backward to the auxiliary position. This turns the vehicle off but leaves on the auxiliary power.
- 2). Push in on the key. You will feel the ignition lock cylinder push in about 1/16 of an inch. This allows you to bypass the auxiliary lock on the lock cylinder.
- 3). Turn the key one click counterclockwise to turn off the auxiliary power.
- 4). Pull the key straight out from the lock cylinder to remove it from the Grand Am.
