- 1). Wear the protective gears such as the gloves, face mask and goggles. Make sure that all needed materials are prepared and within your reach.
- 2). Clean the surface with a full blast of pressurized water. This will remove any excess oil spill and residue, making it easier to remove skid marks.
- 3). Apply muriatic acid (hydrochloric acid) to the area you will clean. Apply a generous amount of this chemical to the area where the skid marks are located, and let it stay for fa ew minutes before scrubbing and rinsing off.
- 4). Scrub the area with a wire brush. Carefully and thoroughly brush the entire area to ensure that every last bit of residue and foreign matter are removed from the surface.
- 5). Blast the cleaned surface thoroughly with your power washer. Rinse the area well to ensure that the acid, dirt and other materials are washed off your blacktop.
