Practice answering likely interview questions with a friend. Focus on turning the answer to each question into a discussion of your experience and qualifications for the position. If you are asked to name your greatest strength, for instance, use that as an opportunity to discuss your ability to work as part of a team and to talk about your experience as a team leader or project manager. - 2). Review the original job listing you responded to before you landed the interview. Note the skills and qualifications listed as essential for the job. Look for ways to highlight those exact skills during the interview. For instance, if the job listing specifies that you be detail oriented, cite examples where your attention to detail allowed you to spot errors that others had missed.
- 3). Go through your resume line by line and review the positions you have held. Think about how you will highlight the things you were able to accomplish in each position you have held. If your job history shows ever increasing levels of responsibility, use the interview to discuss how your experience has allowed you to grow and take on new responsibilities.
