- 1). Turn off the M130 and lay it face-down on a soft cloth so you don't scratch the screen.
- 2). Remove the four screws from the back of the M130.
- 3). Insert the small plastic wedge or flat-blade screwdriver into the seam between the front and back covers and pry them apart. To make the disassembly easier, start at either of the top corners and work your way around.
- 4). Flip the M130 over so that the back is on your work space and remove the face from it. The screen is left behind.
- 5). Lift the screen gently, as its connected to the motherboard by a ribbon cable that you can't detach, and hold it while you remove the battery, which is a small rectangular device in the lower-middle part of the motherboard.
- 6). Lift the battery away from the motherboard and disconnect the battery cable.
- 7). Follow the steps in reverse order to install a new battery and assemble the M130. Be sure to press the two covers together so they are completely secured together before inserting the screws to finish the procedure.
