Signs of Fibromyalgia

Most people who have fibromyalgia do not even know that they have it because the signs of fibromyalgia are so similar to other medical problems.
Another problem is that the symptoms are very nondescript and invisible.
This does not mean that the symptoms do not exist.
It just means that the symptoms are hard to see clinically.
Because of this, some doctors are hesitant to diagnose patients with the condition.
Keep in mind that the following signs of fibromyalgia are not all-inclusive as the affliction does not present in exactly the same way with every patient.
Also, weather, time of day and even the personal stress can affect the symptoms drastically.
Widespread pain is the most prominent and common of the various signs of the affliction.
It is also the most variable.
Most people that are diagnosed with the illness will describe the pain as a dull ache.
It arises from the muscles and various places called "tender points" throughout the body.
This might include places such as the head and neck, and virtually every part of the body.
Sleeping problems are among the common symptoms as well, and can include insomnia and even sleep apnea.
Restless leg syndrome has been connected with the condition, and is a sensation of "bugs crawling" up and down your legs when you lay down to rest.
Sufferers rarely get the needed sleep for restoration.
Fatigue is another major sign of fibromyalgia and can be connected sometimes with the sleep disturbances mentioned above.
The fatigue does not seem to respond well to rest and gets worse throughout the day.
Though certainly these are not the only signs of the illness, they are the primary symptoms.
Virtually all fibromyalgia sufferers will have some combination of these symptoms on a fairly regular, if not daily, basis.
