Everyone is different, and anyone who has anxiety is affected differently. So is medication good for anxiety, is a personal question that one would have to ask themselves, but I will talk about some of my experiences with medications that I took:

First thing, learn about what anxiety is, and your personal experience or symptoms with anxiety.

Everyone may suffer a little different from anxiety, and you may have some specific symptoms. Example of this would be perspiration, not everyone suffers with the sweats.

Find out what type of anxiety you have. So get diagnosed from you doctor or specialist. Talk about your fears, and feelings you have, when in situations.

This will help the professionals to know, exactly your specific symptom, and diagnose your correct type of anxiety.

I would encourage everyone, who is willing to join groups for anxiety suffers. This allows you to hear other individuals stories, that you can relate to.

This will ease your anxiety, because now you know you are not alone, and their are others like you. This is also a good outlet for you, to discuss your situation.

I know when I found out I had anxiety, I was so fearful to talk about it. I just shut out everyone close to me, for fear of judgement.

The first medication that was given to me years back, clorazpam. This medication is also used for specific situations that may individuals may have fear towards. They may not specifically suffer from anxiety, but may be a situation, that they need to take this medication for, like public speaking.

Many individuals suffer from a fear of public speaking, so doctors prescribe this medication for those times, so that individuals can cope with this specific fear.

Later, on my professional combined this with another medication, that did help, but made me extremely tired. I decide to try to learn more about natural products to help my anxiety.

Now a days, there are many choices for medications. Only you know how you feel and what your body is telling you. Remember with anxiety, everything seems really bad, and distorted at times.

What we see and feel are heightened situations. So your doctor may prescribe something, and tell you this is good and has worked for many, but you are not many, you are one individual, with specific needs, so if it is not working or you feel uncomfortable, do not be afraid to go back and explain this and try something else.

They key with any medication, is to find the right one for you and many times, this is trial and error, until you find one good for you.

Many individuals have had great success with medications, and some individuals not so great, so you have to be willing to try a variety of things, until you find the right medication, or program that will help you to cope with your anxiety.

This is the hardest part of anxiety, finding a way to cope, and still deal with life, but it can be done with success, because many have, and you will too. Don't lose faith and hope. You will and can conquer this.
