How to Heat Tortilla Shells
- 1). Remove tortilla shells from the refrigerator or freezer and bring them to room temperature. Separate the tortillas from each other. This will ensure that they reheat evenly.
- 2). Stack up to six tortillas on a microwave-safe plate. Heat the tortillas on "High" for 45 to 60 seconds. If a microwave is unavailable, you can also heat the tortillas in the oven. Place the shells in a stack on a sheet of aluminum foil large enough to cover them. Wrap the tortillas in the foil and place them in a preheated oven set at 350° F for 15 minutes.
- 3). Keep the tortillas hot by wrapping them in aluminum foil. Place the wrapped tortillas in an insulated bag or wrap the foil-covered tortillas in a towel. This will keep the tortillas warm for 2 hours.
