How to Use a V-Blade Mandoline Slicer
- 1). Choose which v-blade to use based on the type of cut desired.
- 2). Insert the v-blade into the slicer unit.
- 3). Adjust the height to achieve the desired thickness if this option is available on your slicer.
- 4). Press food into the food holder unit. As the food is pressed into the prongs of the food holder, the handle will be pushed up.
- 5). Using the food holder, slide the food over the blades to make the desired cuts, then slide it back to the top of the slicer's frame.
- 6). Repeat the sliding motion, pressing the food holder handle down evenly as you slide the food over the blade.
- 7). Stop the sliding motion when the food holder is touching the side of the slicer, the food-holder handle is pushed all the way down and the food is no longer being sliced.
- 8). Release the remaining food from the holder by pressing down on the food holders handle and removing any food from the prongs.
