Jeff LePage promoted to Vice President at American Fast Freight, Inc.
LePage will continue to focus on the strategic development of new technology to meet current and future company and customer needs.
FIFE, WASH., Aug. 29, 2011 -- American Fast Freight (AFF) is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeff LePage to Vice President, Chief Technology Officer.
LePage has been the Director of MIS for AFF since 1992 -- over 18 years. "During his time with AFF, he has managed the growth of technology utilization throughout the organization as well as modernized systems and architecture used in all our operations at all levels of our organization," said AFF President Steve Day.
As vice president, LePage will continue to oversee maintenance of the company's databases and network systems while focusing more on advising senior management on strategic deployment of new technology. He is primarily responsible for system design used in the freight management, operations, pricing, billing and rating departments at AFF, as well as for its subsidiary companies: Hawaiian Ocean Transport, AFF Logistics, AFF Distribution Services, American Relocation Services, Alaska Archives, and Alcan Highway Express. Most recently, LePage spearheaded the creation of an industry-leading suite of technologies found in the recent release of FastTrax„ .
FastTrax„ is a suite of resources designed to provide customers with real time shipment tracking and document optimization. Information obtained from this system is made available to customers through various means, including web-based access to AFF's Data Center as well as automated faxes and e-mails. Furthermore it allows American Fast Freight to leverage this system to maintain and improve outbound load planning and delivery programs. It was rolled out in July 2011.

LePage began his technology career at the age of 15 when he was hired in the IT department at Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) as a placement through the University of Alaska, Anchorage. At the time, Jeff was the youngest employee to ever work in that department. Over the years, LePage has often been cited as a knowledgeable source on the topic of security and email controls and monitoring in various trade publications.
