How to Use an iPod With a TV
- 1). Use the iPod's click wheel to scroll down to "Videos" and press the center button.
- 2). Scroll down to "Settings" and click the center button.
- 3). Scroll down to "TV Out" and select "Ask" or "On."
- 1). Plug the green, blue and red video connectors on the AV component cable into the inputs on the back of the TV, making sure to match colors: green to green, blue to blue, and red to red.
- 2). Plug the white and red audio connectors on the AV component cable into the left and right audio inputs on the TV, again matching white to white and red to red.
- 3). Plug the 30-pin dock connector end of the AV component into the iPod's dock connector, which is located at the bottom of the iPod.
- 4). Plug the USB connector of the AV component cable into the USB power adapter, and plug the adapter into a power outlet. While this is optional, plugging your iPod into a power source will keep it powered and playing video longer.
- 1). Turn the power on for your iPod and your TV.
- 2). Turn your TV to the correct channel so that it can display your iPod. For example, if the iPod is hooked into AV component #1, turn your TV to channel "Component 1."
- 3). Use the click wheel on your iPod to scroll to "Videos" and press the center button.
- 4). Use the click wheel to scroll through your videos. When you find the video you want to watch on your TV, press the center button to select it.
