How to Add Music to an iPod From Windows Media Player

    • 1). Download and install the 30-day free trial for the MGTEK dopisp program (see Resources).

    • 2). Open Windows Media Player. A window will then appear in the middle of the program. Click "Free 30 Days Trial" in this box.

    • 3). Plug your iPod into the computer. Another window will open and you will be asked if you want to sync this device with Windows Media Player. Click "Yes" and then restart Windows Media Player.

    • 4). Click "Sync" at the top of the program. You will then see the name of the iPod on the right side of the program.

    • 5). Click "Library" on the left of Windows Media Player. Then select the "Songs" button in the middle of the program.

    • 6). Right-click over the songs you want to add to the iPod. Select "Add to Sync List." Every song you select will be shown in the Sync List on the right side of the software program.

    • 7). Click on the "Start Sync" button that is found underneath the list of songs you chose in the previous Step. The music will then be added to your iPod from Windows Media Player.
