Intermatic Sprinkler Timer & Zone Setting

    Setting the Day

    • The Intermatic day wheel is a small wheel located below the large yellow dial. It features 14 pins, which represent a 14-day period. The pins can be raised up or pushed into the wheel. The wheel is marked with the seven days of the week in order. Push in all of the pins except for the days of the week you wish to water. For instance, if you wish to only water on Tuesdays and Fridays, pull out the pins beside both sets of Tuesdays and Fridays. Keep the other days pushed in. After the pins are set, twist the day wheel to align the current day with the printed yellow arrow beside "Day" located southwest from the wheel.

    Setting the Time

    • The large Intermatic yellow dial features 24 hours in the day using AM and PM indicators. Locate the current time on the dial, grasp the dial and twist it to align the current time with the metal arrow in the center of the dial. The metal arrow coincides with the yellow printed arrow next to "Time" below the dial. Confirm that a silver trip pin is in place at 12:00 AM to turn the day wheel as the time advances. Use only one silver trip pin on the yellow wheel.

    Setting the Zone

    • Insert a supplied Intermatic gold pin into the time slot on the main dial beside the desired sprinkler "On" time for the zone you wish to water. Insert another pin into a slot directly next to the first pin -- without skipping a slot -- to add 12 additional minutes of watering before or after the start time. Leave a blank slot following the initial "On" time slot holder to automatically advance to the next zone. Repeat the process until the desired number of zones has been set.

    Activation

    • The power switch is located southwest of the yellow dial. There are three settings. The uppermost position is the "Automatic" setting, which enables all settings. The middle position is the "Off" position and the lower position is the "Manual On" setting, which turns your sprinklers on right then.
