- 1). Cut the 2-by-4 in half lengthwise creating two 2-by-4s, each 4 feet long.
- 2). Place the 2-by-4s back to back and nail them together with framing nails.
- 3). Nail the ends of the 4-by-4 beam in the center of each 2-foot by 2-foot plywood board.
- 4). Wrap the top and bottom platforms with Berber carpet and cut to size. Staple the carpet while holding it taut.
- 5). Wrap the 4-by-4 with thick twine. Secure it with industrial staples.
