    • 1). Study how to create a website design class on the community class level to design the website community class curriculum. Begin with basic website design that includes intensive study of basic HTML, tags, formatting, tables and other attributes. Include aspects like layout, color schemes, graphics and readability. Include what a good web page consists of, like web content editing, structure and style, content and legibility. Discuss how hyperlinks and browser issues come into play. Make a section for Javascript, windows and sticky content. Design and include examples of each aspect.

For example, consider how branding consistency can affect navigation. Include accessibility and usability. Include web publishing instruction on how to upload the website to the Internet once it is completed. Add a section on revising and updating the website.

Click on "Online Facilities Reservations" or go to https://ebooking.mpls.k12.mn.us/, the Minneapolis Public Schools Facilities Reservation System link. Include all relevant information which will be reviewed and sent to the requested school for use. Submit the application online at least 10 working days prior to the date you wish to use the facility. You can expect to hear back within about a week's time by e-mail with information about permit issuance.

    • 4). Contact the director of Minneapolis Community Education at 612-668-3939 or email community.education@mpls.k12.mn.us to get information about offering a website community education class in the Twin Cities region. Ask about all of the locations and dates available, if possible.

    • 5). Visit the Experimental College (EXCO) website of the Twin Cities. Register for a new account. Browse the offerings to get a sense of what is available. Create a class or a workshop by following the website prompts. Learn about upcoming events to attend for networking with other class providers and students. Use that information to improve the design of your course. Attend the open house reflection and visioning event to provide and get feedback, share information and learn more about how to improve the projects in your classes.
