Not All Erectile Dysfunction is Cured by a Little Blue Tablet
I cannot say it too often.
Not all erectile dysfunction can be fixed with Viagra or Cialis or Levitra or any one of the myriad of so-called "natural" cures that are out there and screaming for your attention.
Why do I say this? Because no two cases of erectile dysfunction or impotence are exactly alike and therefore no one treatment type will cure all.
That is not to suggest for one second that these medications are not effective in the management of a lot of ED.
Of course they are.
I would even go further and say the Viagra and its two first cousins -- Cialis and Levitra, have between them revolutionized the treatment of impotence.
Before they came on the scene just over a decade ago, doctors had nothing, nothing whatsoever to offer men suffering from this most distressing of problems.
But what I am saying here is that erectile dysfunction is a complex condition and each individual case is unique and requires unique attention to detail.
Proper diagnosis is the key.
And simply throwing tablets at the problem, without actually understanding the underlying cause is a waste of time and can actually be damaging.
The causes of erectile dysfunction are many and varied and sometimes even can be multiple within a single individual.
But chief among them, without a shadow of a doubt, is our old friend Performance Anxiety.
Performance Anxiety is the situation where you are looking at yourself trying to develop an erection.
You are entertaining thoughts like: Is it hard enough? Will it last? Should I try and use it now? Or in other words, you are up in the audience looking at yourself trying to perform.
And as long as you are up there you will never get an erection.
Do you see, in order to get an erection your mind has to be free of all extraneous thinking? Pleasure, desire, arousal, excitement, lust, tenderness, these and these alone are the thoughts that bring about the magic that is an erection.
Any interruption in these pleasurable thoughts blocks the creation of an erection.
Then one "failure" leads to another and very quickly erectile dysfunction becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
You may not like being told this and I know from experience that there often is much resistance to this concept.
If you are like a lot of men that I see on a daily bases you will want me to find an other explanation, any other explanation for your ED other than Performance Anxiety.
There must be something else wrong, something physical or hormonal perhaps.
It can't be Performance Anxiety because that sounds like it's my own stupid fault.
Than I can't stop looking at myself.
But that is the very point about it and that is where a lot of men are getting it wrong on a daily bases.
Performance Anxiety is NEVER your fault.
It is rather something that gets 'into' you despite your best effort and the more it gets into you the worse it gets.
