How to Make a Casket Floral Spray
- 1). Soak a floral foam block in water until saturated. Place the wet foam block in a floral saddle.
- 2). Poke the stems of some long greenery sprigs into the sides of the floral foam block to act as a base. The sprigs should reach away from both sides of the block.
- 3). Divide your flowers of choice into three equal groups. Use scissors to cut the stems diagonally: one group with long stems, one group with medium length stems and one group with short stems. The actual length of the stems will vary with the size of your floral foam block and how much area you need to cover.
- 4). Begin inserting the longest-stemmed flowers into the floral foam block, starting at the bottom and moving around the block. As you move up toward the top, use the medium-length stem group, then use the short-stemmed flowers to decorate the top of the block. The flower blooms should all face upward, and the foam block should be covered completely and hidden from view.
- 5). Place some smaller, secondary accent flowers around the spray equal distances apart from one another.
