A trip to Walt Disney World often results in special memories, which is why every year millions of people are willing to spend a few thousand dollars just to experience a week or two at this "magical" place. To enhance the already-built-in "magic," you can do several things to make your trip even more special. - Planning a theme trip can be as simply as saying "bibbidi-bobbidi-boo." Walt Disney World has attractions and hotels that accommodate princess and pirate themes. For example, a princess themed trip can include an appointment for hair, makeup and nails at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, a meal inside Cinderella Castle and a tea party at the Grand Floridian Hotel. A pirate themed trip can include a makeover at the Pirate's League, a reservation at the Caribbean Beach Resort for a stay in one of the pirate themed hotel rooms, an afternoon Pirate Adventure with a treasure hunt and an evening sail (after a sendoff from Captain Hook and Mr. Smee) during the nighttime fireworks display.
- A large group of eight or more people can be designated as a Magical Gathering by Walt Disney World. Magical Gatherings receive a few special perks, such as special experiences and help planning a Magical Gathering Vacation Package from a planning specialist. The Walt Disney World Deluxe Resorts have Deluxe Villas, which can accommodate 8 or 9 guests, and Grand Villas, which can accommodate up to 12 guests. Both are suitable accommodations for a Magical Gathering -- especially a family reunion.
- Character meals are offered at restaurants throughout the Walt Disney World resort -- at all four parks and at several table service restaurants within Disney deluxe resort hotels. Some restaurants only offer character meals during breakfast -- like Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House within Animal Kingdom Park -- and other restaurants offer character meals all day long. At character meals, you sit at your table and enjoy your food, while the characters go from table to table meeting patrons and taking pictures. Many popular Disney characters -- including Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Chip and Dale, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Mary Poppins and Alice -- can be seen at a character meal. Although some characters can be seen at meet-n-greets throughout the parks, others such as Prince Charming can only been seen at a character meal.
