How to Apply Indian Face Paint
- 1). Clean your face thoroughly with warm water and a clean towel. Pat dry.
- 2). Use the makeup sponges to apply white or red face paint over your entire face from your chin to your hairline.
- 3). Use the makeup brushes or sponges to paint one thick line, about an inch thick, from the top of your left cheekbone, across your cheeks and over the bridge of your nose, to the right upper cheek bone. The thick line should cross under your eyes. If you painted your face white, use red paint for the stripe. If you painted your face red, use white paint for the stripe.
- 4). Use the makeup brushes to apply a thick black line, about 1/2 inch thick, from the outer corner of each eye to the upper temple. Repeat this procedure 1/2 inch above the black line again, but with yellow face paint.
- 5). Apply two lightning bolts, or zig-zag shapes, across the bottom of each cheek. Use a thin makeup brush. Draw the shapes perpendicular to each other on each side of your face so that if they continued upward, they would collide.
- 6). Add small circular dots over your forehead or chin, if desired, with black paint. Use the Q-tips or Kleenex for touch-ups or to straighten lines of paint.
- 7). Remove face paint with a clean cloth and warm water.
