General Hospital Daily Recap for September 22, 2011
Sam and Jason wake up and bask in the realization that they're married at last, and it feels great. When Maxie calls, Sam decides to let Jason handle it. Maxie has a fit that Jason is seeing Sam on their wedding day. They're due in church in twenty minutes. Jason dreads facing the crowd. I'd be more afraid of Maxie.
Sonny pays Kate a visit at Crimson and invites her to Jason's and Sam's wedding.
She reminds him that three years ago today, she was shot at their wedding. Sonny assures her that there is a lot of security. Kate is of the opinion that he doesn't want to encounter all his critics alone. She has a point.
Matt gets a letter at the hospital which makes him happy, just as Alexis and Molly are leaving with the wheelchair-bound Kristina. Mac arrives, and Alexis' daughters announce to Alexis that he's her date to the wedding. Alexis isn't feeling it. And there is one more surprise. Kristina stands up - the feeling in her legs is back, it's just a matter of time before she walks again. That, Alexis can feel!
Lulu has decided to accept Dante's proposal, and she asks Ethan to help her set up a beautiful dinner at the loft. They arrange the dinner like the proposal scene from Dante's favorite opera. Lulu is happy that Luke isn't around, otherwise he'd ruin it for her. Ethan pities their father. After all, he walked away from everything that he cared about. Lulu realizes that she has to get ready so she shoos Ethan away.
Dante at that moment is with Lucky at his place, and they are talking about the drug ring. They want to cover the places where Anthony might go and see if they can catch him. Lulu calls and invites Dante to dinner at the loft, and he says he'll be there. Dante leaves, and Lucky finds some pills under the couch.
Anthony is at GH, at the bedside of Lisa Niles. He doesn't understand why she still isn't awake after the drug protocol. But after he's gone, we see Lisa's finger move. It's just a matter of time before she's back in destruction mode.
Carly drops by to see Michael at the coffee warehouse. She wants Michael to attend the wedding with her; Abby arrives and suggests they all go together. Michael goes to get changed and Carly says that she'll meet them at the wedding. She does not like being in the warehouse at all.
Once all of them have left, Johnny enters to check on the evidence his assistant was supposed to plant there. Dante arrives, and Johnny quickly hides. Hearing a noise, Dante pulls out his gun. Anthony walks in behind Dante, his own gun out. We hear a shot.
At the church, Maxie is a wreck when she realizes that she can't find Sam's dress. That's because Franco has it in his studio, and he seems to be fondling it. Sonny arrives, followed by Edward and Monica, and Robin and Patrick. So where is everybody? Turns out no one got the email Spinelli was supposed to send - I guess he can't remember how to send a mass email. Matt arrive with great news, but he's greeted by Maxie telling him that the wedding is a bomb so she can't listen to him at the moment. When Molly and Kristina get there, Maxie pulls them aside to discuss the dress problem. Michael and Abby enter; Carly follows and is angry that Sonny is talking to Michael.
Finally, Sam and Jason, wearing casual clothes, show up. They say hello and then Jason informs the crowd that there won't be a wedding because they're already married. An incensed Maxie spits out, "You've ruined everything," turns on her heel and walks out. Molly yells that it's the most romantic thing she's ever heard. Spinelli directs everyone to the reception.
Spinelli gives instructions to the reception, but Maxie returns. To finish off her plans, the catering truck has overturned. No reception. Sam looks at Jason. She has an idea. They bring the group to the Chinese restaurant, and the Yees and their grandson give th3em a wonderful reception. Maxie is mollified. This is probably what Jason and Sam wanted anyway. She also sees that the grandmother is wearing Sam's boots!
Carly approaches Jason and expresses her happiness for him and promises to work on boundaries. Monica says it's the best non-ceremony she ever attended. Alan would have wanted the best for both of them. Sam and Jason show Monica and Edward the rings they were given separately. Meanwhile, Franco's camera is watching. Jason and Sam dance; Kate arries. Franco dances with Sam's dress.
