    • 1). Download the free QuickTime 7 Player from Apple.com/quicktime. Run through the installation process, agree to the terms of use and complete the install. Restart your computer if necessary.

    • 2). Launch "Firefox" and navigate to the website with the QuickTime file. Click the "View" tab, and select "Page Source" to view the site's HTML code.

    • 3). Click "Edit" and "Find" to enter the text finder menu. Search ".mov." Locate the line of code that ends with ".mov" and begins with "http://". This is the actual URL of the video.

    • 4). Copy the entire line of code ("http://...mov"). Open a new tab in Firefox, paste the URL and press "Enter." Let the movie load and play in its new window until the end. The gray bar will move across the time line from right to left until the entire time line is gray.

    • 5). Click "File" and select "Save Page As" to enter a pop-up save window. Name your file, and choose a location on your computer to save the movie to. Select "QuickTime Movie" from the "Format" drop-down box near the bottom of the window. Click "Save."
