Boxelder Tree

• A Boxelder bug's favorite food is the seed pod that grows on female boxelder trees. Removing the tree eliminates the food source, however boxelder bugs can fly a distance of several blocks to find a place to overwinter. Removing your tree won't solve the problem if there are others in the neighborhood. When you can't remove the tree, clean up all of the seed pods and seeds that fall from boxelder trees. Use a shop vacuum to remove seeds from the lawn.
