Genie Remote Keypad Instructions
- 1). Slide the keypad cover halfway up with your hand.
- 2). Press and hold down the "#" and "8" keys simultaneously.
- 3). Slide the rest of the cover up until it latches in place.
- 4). Release the "#" and "8" keys. If the backlight on the keypad stays on, go to the next step. If the light turns off, close the cover pad and reopen it until it clicks, then go to the next step.
- 5). Press the "3," "5," "7" and "#" buttons in order.
- 6). Select and enter your PIN and then the "#" key. The PIN can be up to eight digits long and can't contain the "#" or ""* keys.
- 7). Enter the door code. Then press the "*" key. The door code is a three to four number code and is determined by your switch settings. If you don't know the door code, look at the "Switch Settings" and corresponding "Door Code Number" on Genie's website to figure out your door code.
- 8). Slide the keypad cover back down.
- 9). Test the keypad. Slide the cover up until it latches. Enter the PIN, then press "*". The garage door should open.
