How to Tie a Hook Onto a Line
- 1). Pull the end of the line through the hole at the end of the hook.
- 2). Form a loop with the leading end of the line positioned beneath the end that leads to the rest of the line.
- 3). Wrap the line around the straight line leading back to the rest of the line about four times.
- 4). Pull the line back to the first loop formed and pull it through. Slowly tighten it and trim the end.
- 1). Pull the line through the end of the hook and form a loop by pulling the line back through the loop in the hook.
- 2). Take the end of the loop and the two straight lines on the opposite end. Pretend that these two groupings are one line of a rope each and tie an overhand knot with them.
- 3). Pull the end of the loop down around the hook. Tighten the knot and trim the line.
- 1). Pull the end of the line through the loop in the hook and then pull it straight back, making two parallel lines.
- 2). Wrap the free end of the line six times around the side of the circle and the line that leads away from the hook.
- 3). Pull the end of the line to tighten all of the loops into a small bunch.
- 4). Push the bunch back down by tightening it more so that it touches the end of the hook. Trim the line.
