Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center

• The Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center - Claremont (SRVRTC) has connections with Stevens High School, the only high school in the city. It shares the same mission and expectations for student learning, and provides programs that focus on the integration of cognitive, occupational, and life skills. Course offerings are at the tech center are accounting, building construction, culinary arts, early childhood education, IT essentials, machine tool technologies, plumbing, and HVAC. All classes give students the opportunity to investigate careers through internships, co-op opportunities, job shadows, career and technical student organizations, guest speakers, and site visitations.

• The Division of Continuing Education (DCE) at the River Valley Community College provides a flexible and affordable study opportunity for its diverse student population, and addresses the region's skill needs and demands. DCE offers access to technical, professional, and traditional academic and enrichment courses, preparing students for employment. It offers students flexibility by providing courses during evening and weekend hours, and offering distance education opportunities through hybrid and 100% online programs. Credit and non-credit workshops are part of the educational staple throughout the year. New Hampshire Community Technical College: Claremont School

• New Hampshire Community Technical College: Claremont has unique study options including an accelerated program, double major, independent study, and internships. It offers a variety of degrees and majors, including data processing technology in the computer science area; and clinical/medical laboratory technology, massage therapy, medical administrative assistance, medical assistance, medical insurance coding, nursing (RN), nursing -- practical, occupational therapy assistance, physical therapy assistance, and respiratory therapy in the health and clinical sciences area.
  
  

Claremont LPN/RN Programs

• Part of the New Hampshire Community Technical College, the LPN/RN nursing program offers students the opportunity to pursue basic and advanced nursing curriculums. State certification is one of its goals. LPN programs typically require applicants to hold a current license as a certified nurse assistant (CNA). Once accepted into the program, the typical LPN program takes eight to 12 months to complete. To be certified as an RN, students must pass the NCLEX examination, which can only be taken by graduates of nursing programs approved by the state. An accredited RN associate's degree program takes two years, and students don't need to be LPNs to enroll.
