Great Abs -How to Get Great Abs Without Crunches Or Sit-Ups
Crunch less abs are not only possible, they are very easy to accomplish.
Crunches are over-rated in my opinion anyway.
Simple crunch exercises are not even a complete abdominal exercises.
There are some easy ways to get great abs.
The first thing you need to watch is your diet.
I understand that seems obvious but have you ever thought of why you need to watch your diet.
Unlike most muscles that rely on bulkiness to be seen, stomach muscles do not grow in the same way.
Fat is deposited just under the skin in layers, and it is these layers that will prevent you from being able to show of your excellent abs.
The other way is to focus on your core muscles.
Your body's core is the area around your trunk and pelvis.
They are not just the stomach muscles as we all seem to think but also the back and sides of our abdomens.
Deadlifts and push ups can also help exercise the areas that need help, and since muscle helps to burn fat, it makes sense that if you improve any of these areas your abdominals will improve also.
Of course, I never wanted to imply that you do not have to exercise in order to improve your abdomen, I only wanted to indicate that if you do not like doing crunches...
( and who does?) That there is a wide variety of exercises to chose from that would likely be more comfortable and even more enjoyable, all we really need to do is to understand the core to understand why.
