    • 1). Check the home electrical panel for any tripped breakers or blown fuses. Reset the breakers and replace fuses as necessary. Replace fuses with others of the same amperage. Inspect to see that all wiring and connections are secure.

    • 2). Check that the gas valve is in the ON position and the gas is turned ON at the meter. See that the manual main shut-off valve is OPEN.

    • 3). Check the room thermostat for the correct setting. Make sure the electrical disconnect switches are ON.

    • 4). Clean any debris from the blower wheel. Check to see that air flow to the unit is unobstructed. Move any items of furniture that are too close to the furnace.

    • 5). Clean the burners. Turn off gas and electrical power to the unit. Remove the gas pipe and manifold. Disconnect the flame sensor and ignitor leads. Lift off the burner tray and burners. Clean the burner ring with a wire brush. Clean the interior of each burner with the tube brush. Replace all the elements and gas piping. Make sure all connections are secure.
