- 1). Empty your aquarium before beginning construction of your city.
- 2). Place the buildings in a row along the bottom of the aquarium. You may need to add, remove and rearrange buildings until you get them to fit straight across to resemble a street.
- 3). Place plants that resemble trees along the path of the buildings.
- 4). Place small cars in front of the buildings to appear as if they are driving down a street. For an abandoned city, no cars are necessary.
- 5). Take a photo of the city when it is arranged exactly how you want it.
- 6). Empty the aquarium to provide more workspace for gluing.
- 7). Using the photo as a guide, squeeze the black silicone onto the floor of the aquarium to create a street. Place cars into the silicone while it is still wet.
- 8). Squeeze clear silicone onto the base of each building one at a time. Use the photo as a guide, and press the base of the building firmly against the aquarium floor to set the silicone glue.
- 9). Squeeze the clear silicone onto the base of the artificial plants or onto the base of plant holders for real plants. Use the photo as a guide, and press the plants firmly against the aquarium floor to set the silicone glue.

Allow to dry before filling aquarium with water. Once filled, you may add fish and live plants if you have used aquarium safe decorations.
