Success In Life - What They Don"t Teach You In School

103 23
Education is great and of course it is very necessary.
However, have you felt like you should have been taught more about how to succeed in life? As a matter of fact, are there even any courses that help you succeed in life? As far as I can remember the only time I learn about succeeding in life is if I had a phenomenal teacher that made it a point to also teach about life.
If I were to be able to teach success for life in schools here are 3 points that I would make sure were taught.
1.
It's OK to take risks.
You have to learn how to take risks in life.
You don't have to bet the farm when you take a risk.
There are ways to take calculated risks that will help you succeed.
By knowing how to evaluate these risks and making the ones that are in your favour, you will excel in your life.
There is no such thing as success without risk.
2.
Don't be afraid to fail.
Everything you are taught in school tells you that failing is bad.
You are told that if you fail high school you can't get into college and therefore end up having a low paying job and never amount to much in your life.
In other words, if you fail your life will be terrible.
So you grow up doing your best to never fail and when you do you don't know how to cope with it.
Failure is actually a good thing if you learn from it.
Many times your greatest success will come from a failure.
3.
Don't count on others for your success.
You are taught that you need to get a safe secure job and rely on your employer to provide the ladder of success for you.
Well you probably know by now that the ladder isn't what you were told it would be.
It's OK to work for someone else but don't rely on them for your success.
Do things outside of your job that will create success for you as well that way if anything happens to your job your not stuck.
