Transitioning to Create Your Ideal Life
Change takes time, so give yourself some slack and don't be too hard on yourself.
Spiritual things do take discipline; however, it isn't healthy to feel guilty about not living up to your ideals.
Keep striving to better yourself.
More than likely, whatever your path, it will be a process for you to attain it and maintain it 100%.
It probably won't happen overnight.
It's virtually the same for whatever you are trying to create as a new good habit, i.
e.
exercise, mediation, healthier eating.
There is always the possibility that you will have times in your life where you can't seem to stick with your commitment.
If you do, then it's done.
Start anew.
Don't beat yourself up over it or give it up completely.
It's about the journey not the end.
Slipping up once in awhile is a fact for every human being on their journey through life with all its trials and tribulations.
Make a firm commitment to doing the new healthier behavior.
It's partially your mental attitude that'll ensure your success.
If you believe it and can see yourself doing it, you'll succeed.
If you have doubts and failures already in your mind, you'll fail.
Garner support from someone.
Ask someone, a friend or relative, to hold you accountable to stick with your new healthy habit.
Write down some attainable goals surrounding your new healthy habit i.
e.
if its meditation you want to commit to doing, then make a goal to start off with just 15 minutes per day.
It might not sound like enough but I have found that it is a whole lot better to make it something you can definitely do rather than making the goal of one hour which might be tough for you to actually reach until you've worked up to that amount of time and commitment.
As you transition in your quest to better yourself and live more up to your potential and your passion, live in the now.
Think this is what I'm doing today, at this moment, for this hour, for this minute...
take it one day at a time and one step at a time.
So, with all aspects of life, live in the present as much as you possibly can.
