A good number of people expend excessive amounts of physical and mental energy as they labor to perform more than one task at a time.
In doing so their brain does not have enough time to relax and have a rest period.
Also there is the so called workaholics that absolutely cannot grasp the idea of scheduling a period of rest.
Nor will they stop thinking about the projects that need attention and as a result force themselves into a state of anxiety or depression.
And possibly other serious mental conditions that may trigger a complete breakdown.
But with early recognition of an onset of these symptoms a person can get proper help to function normally.
The condition called anxiety depression is typically recognized by erratic behavior and inconsistencies of a person who has been under long periods of stress.
This stress can be caused by family or work related problems or a combination of both.
Of course there are some people who quite possibly may be prone to nervousness due to genetic or hormonal makeup.
They may be perfectionist and tend to labor at a task for too long a period because of their style of handling tasks and this could cause problems.
This type of person may find it very challenging to change the way they handle situations, but it would be fitting of them to take a minute to relax, or meditate for a bit to alleviate some pressure and maintain calm state.
It may be necessary at some point to seek professional help, if the problem reaches a stage that seems like things are getting out of hand and you cannot keep things under control.
After all there may be a condition that is causing you to be in the situation that cannot be self diagnosed.
Without proper help you may not know where the problem lies.
It may be maniac depression or bipolar depression.
These are characterized by extreme and sudden changes of mood in a very short period of time.
A person can be in total bliss one minute and the next may be ripping the hair from the head.
And then we have Dysthymia which is characterized by a slight similarity to depression, but may be less serious and with proper medical attention can be manageable.
Those who suffer from this illness are usually able to function adequately but might seem consistently unhappy.
Then we have postpartum depression-which is identified by a prolonged sadness and a feeling of emptiness by a mother who has recently gave birth and was exposed to physical stress during that labor period.
Some moms worry they may hurt themselves or their baby.
Cyclothymic disorder is a mild form of bipolar disorder in which a person has mood swings from mild or moderate depression to euphoria and excitement, but stays connected to reality.
Also characterized by Hypo manic Episodes and numerous periods of depressive symptoms for at least 2-years.
There are other types of disorders, but I am only listing a few to demonstrate that a person should seek professional help because it may be the only way to diagnose the problem.
Probably the most familiar type of depression is anxiety depression which in reality is two different types, which are very similar.
Many people with anxiety commonly suffer from depression also.
