- Zulu's games are arranged under action, puzzle, shooting, sports, racing, retro and fighting categories. It also has a miscellaneous file for games that do not fit into any of the other categories. They include first-person shooter games, side-scrolling games, top-view games and ballistic shooting games. Some will allow you to design your own vehicle, such as a spaceship.
- The "Top rated" games on Zulu are those given the highest ratings by users. "Most Popular" games are the ones users play most often. While there may be some overlap between these categories, they often produce different lists of games. In April of 2011, the top rated games were "Bloody Rage," "Aevarrons," "Coliseum," "Invasion 2," "Punk-o-Matic" and "Sim". The most popular games were "Drag Racer v3," "Drag Racer v2," "The Legend of Dragon Fist," "Bloody Rage" and "Whack Your Boss."
- Users are invited to choose a user name and password. Each time you log in and play a game, your score is recorded. This allows users to compete with each other over long periods of time. The top five players on the site are listed in the left-hand margin of the website's main page. As of April 2011, there were approximately 630 registered users.
- Two different kinds of advertising packages are available on the site. One is entirely free and the other costs 300 South African rand for one year. This amounts to $45. The free package allows users to submit links to their websites. These appear on the "links" section of Zulu. The most popular links will appear in the left-hand margin of the site's main page. Users with the 300 rand package can sponsor a game. They also get a graphic banner and a link to the advertiser's website.
