    • 1). Strike the "Windows" key on the keyboard to activate the "Start" menu. Windows will shell out of any running program in order to activate the "Start" menu when the Windows key is pressed. The Windows key is usually represented by the Microsoft Windows logo on the face of the key.

    • 2). Tap the "R" key on the keyboard to bring up the "Run" dialog box. The arrow keys can also be used to manually highlight the "Run" option under the open "Start" menu.

    • 3). Type "taskmgr.exe" without quotation marks in the white dialog box next to the "Open" text. The text cursor will automatically activate in the text box. Be sure the command is typed correctly before proceeding.

    • 4). Hit the "Enter" key on the keyboard to launch the Task Manager. Navigation within Task Manager can be done using only the keyboard.
