- 1). Click "Start>Computer" to open a folder containing a list of all drives attached to your computer. Your USB flash drive will have an icon in this listing.
- 2). Right-click the USB flash drive icon. Click "Format."
- 3). Click "Start" to format your flash drive and repair the file system.
