- 1). Insert the Windows Server installation CD into the computer.
- 2). Restart the PowerEdge 2550. Press any key when prompted to boot from CD.
- 3). Press "Enter" at the first screen and "C" at the warning screen.
- 4). Press "F8" to accept the license terms. Highlight the drive upon which you wish to install Windows Server and press "Enter."
- 5). Input your keyboard layout, system location, product key, computer name, desired account password and the installation components you wish to install on your PowerEdge 2550 as prompted.
- 6). Enter your desired IP address and workgroup or domain name to configure your server on your network.
