- 1). Press "Ctrl," "Shift" and "Esc" on your keyboard. The task manager pops up, allowing you to close processes and monitor computer performance.
- 2). Click the "Processes" tab on the task manager.
- 3). Click "View" and click "Select columns." Select "Working Set (Memory)" if you don't see it selected on the list. Click "OK" after you finish.
- 4). Click the "Working Set (Memory)" column in the "Processes" dialog until the small arrow next to the column name points down. Watch this column carefully for about five minutes. If you noticed a consistent and significant increase in memory, the program in that row has a memory leak.
