- 1). Back up your important files, programs and settings. That way you can restore your data after the reset is complete.
- 2). Close all running programs and windows. Restart your computer
- 3). Press the "Ctrl" and "F11" keys as soon as "Dell.com" appears at the top of your monitor. If the Windows screen appears, then the command did not occur on time. If this occurs, restart your laptop and try again
- 4). Click on "Restore" as soon as the Dell PC restore window appears.
- 5). Hit "Confirm" when you receive a warning about losing all your data.
- 6). Click "Finish" once the screen tells you that the reset process has finished. Let your computer restart on its own.
- 7). Click on "Yes" when the computer asks whether you wish to restart again or not.
- 8). Choose "I Agree" when the End User License Agreement screen appears on your monitor, and then click "Next" for the computer to restart again.
- 9). Click "Next" once the computer restarts and you will receive a "System Restore" notification. Let it restart again and hit "OK."
